Hi Telepathy Community! I am very pleased to announce version 0.4.0 of the Telepathy snom phone connection manager.
Telepathy snom ============== Telepathy snom is a Telepathy specification (http://telepathy.freedesktop.org/spec.html) compliant connection manager. It enables remote controlling of VoIP phones as build by snom from Telepathy compatible desktop applications. Telepathy-snom enables computer telephone integration (CTI) in an opensource environment. Using the Decibel realtime communication server this connection manager can be used in applications to report on call state or to dial out directly to users via a SIP network (eg. managed by an asterisk server). Telepathy-snom is implemented using the Tapioca Qt language bindings (http://tapioca-voip.sourceforge.net/wiki/) Acknowledgments --------------- Development of this connection manager is sponsored by NLnet (http://www.nlnet.nl/) and basysKom GmbH (http://www.basyskom.de/) as part of the Decibel project. It is used to test the applicability of the Telepathy specification for computer telephone integration. Thanks for the support you are giving to the project! I further want to thank the Tapioca project (http://tapioca-voip.sourceforge.net/) for providing the Qt bindings to Telepathy I am using in this connection manager. License ------- Telepathy-snom is released under the LGPL version 2.1. Version 0.4.0 =============== It enables: * Connecting to a snom phone using any of the identities defined in the phone. * Monitoring of incoming calls * Monitoring of outgoing calls * Dialing out * Accepting incomming calls * Reporting of call state * Group interface support for improved interoperability with other telepathy clients. * DTMF support Changes since Version 0.3.0 ============================= * Use the group interface on the channels. This is actually required by telepathy for streamed media channels now. * Add DTMF support.
