Hi, Reading this bug, I have a (foolish) idea: what about having a D-Bus provider for avatar? First service can be to store avatars on local machine. So, this can afford caching service. But we can imagine to add a more complex machinery allowing to retrieve avatars from web services (like gravatar).
For example, for giggle (a Git browser for Gnome) we retrieve avatars from Gravatar automatically while browsing at history and looking at commit's authors. Is it a good idea or am I completly foolish? 2009/3/18 <[email protected]>: > http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20034 > > > > > > --- Comment #1 from Olivier Le Thanh Duong <[email protected]> 2009-03-17 > 17:35:37 PST --- > This should include telepathy-python too > > > -- > Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email > ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- > You are the assignee for the bug. > _______________________________________________ > telepathy mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/telepathy > -- Guilhem BONNEFILLE -=- JID: [email protected] MSN: [email protected] -=- mailto:[email protected] -=- http://nathguil.free.fr/ _______________________________________________ telepathy mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/telepathy
