Sorry, to be more specific: the MUC backlog in general is indeed a feature -
it's part of the XEP, and it's configurable in most (all?) implementations.
However, in the context of Tubes, it's a bug that we pay attention to Tubes
messages from the past; we should probably ignore them, in order to have
similar programmatic behaviour in rooms with and without this feature.
