You also need to Add Groovy Nature to your project to make it work in Eclipse. Right Click on the project > Groovy > Add Groovy Nature
You need to perform the following steps as well. - Bring up the Project Properties. - Click on Java Build Path > Source. - Change the Project/bin to Project/bin-groovy.
