Hi
   Can you check the following :

1) The variable that needs to be set (i.e. form variable) should be of type
<input type="file" ..>

2) If you are on a Windows machine make sure that your inputs are of the
type "c:\\tmp\\abx.xml"

There is no way to simulate the popping up of the file browse (I tried using
some XBL and also some selenium user extensions) but I was not able to
succeed
