It has been a long way for Tellurium to reach 0.7.0. We prototyped the Macro command last May and the speed performance was pretty impressive thought I could not remember the exact number. With the UI module caching, I think we can improve the speed further.
We like to create some benchmarks for Tellurium 0.7.0, but the difficult part is to find a sample web application so that we can run the tests against a local web application to eliminate the network factors. We are still looking. Speed improvement is only one driving force for us to work on Tellurium 0.7.0, the more important goals for us is to improve the test robust and provide more testing support tools.
