Thanks Olivier and Serge for your responses!
I guess I should have expected the symmetry with
jData.containers().getAbsoluteContainerList(String containerName, int pageID);
which I have been using for a while... ;-)

You can also use :
JahiaField field = jData.fields.getAbsoluteField(String fieldName, int pageID);

Hello,
I've used that piece of code for my purpose
ContentField longTitle = ContentField.getField(JahiaFieldBaseService.getInstance().getFieldID("title", contentPage.getID()));%>
<%=longTitle.getValue(jData.params())%>
Where contentPage is the contentPage associated to the JahiaPage containing the field "title".

Hello list,
Well, I suppose (or seem to remember) this must have been covered before on this list, but have so far failed to find the specific thread in the archive(s).
How does one refer to a field that is defined and maintained on another page (not in a container)? The JahiaPage and ContentPage classes don't seem to offer a way of accessing fields declared on them... What am I missing?
Thanks a lot, Jurjan-Paul
