Hi,

ok, but where do I put the JAVA function definition? Is it embeded into
the .jsp page? And if no, how do you do to call it from a .jsp page? By the
way, is it the solution found into the JAHIA web site? It seems not, it's a
javascript menu! D you think it's possible to integrate a javascript menu
technologie?

Of course you can add Java in JavaServer Pages. Please see the JSP spec at http://jcp.org/aboutJava/communityprocess/final/jsr152/index.html (JSP.1.12.1 Declarations)

I'm working with linux. It's not so easy to find out a good editor because
it's mixed source code (html, jsp tags, embeded sripts, ...). I hope I will
find a good plugin for Eclipse IDE...

There is also a lot of wysiwyg html editors for linux like http://www.nvu.com/

yes, but it's not completed... Furthemore there is nothing about struts. By
the way, I'm wondering what is the best choice, STRUTS or JSTL, or mixed
solution???

Actually this documentation is a draft, and you won't get informations about external librairies like Struts ot JSTL.
You will get iformations about Sruts Struts site http://struts.apache.org/userGuide/index.html and on JSTL here http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/jstl/reference/docs/

it's not clear, there is a lot of jsp directories around the tree. I
found ../templates/appname/.. and created my template directory here. it
looks ok. But I need to personalise portlets templates too. It seems to be
under webapp/portletname/jsp... but I'm not sure. If so, how do you manage
multi templates with portlet?

As you can read in the Jahia 4.0 template guide, the templates used on a virtual site are stored on [install_path]/tomcat/webapps/jahia/jsp/jahia/templates/[sitekey]

I'm not sure. What I see into the admin. interface is only one list with all
templates mixed inside. What I mean is multiple separated template lists...

You can deploy more than one template set once the site hase been created. Then all your new templates will be available in the template list.

Cheers,

Philippe
