Hi,
I was studying corporate_portal_template for 2 das and I saw the first HTML
page is "header.inc", and the last is "footer.inc". Is there a name
convention for this JSP filenames?
The .inc files are PARTIAL JSP files, not complete JSP files. Another
existing convention calls these files .jspf (f for fragment). The
different extension is so that when using tools such as JSP
precompilation, these are picked up as complete JSP files because this
would generate errors.
Does an overall JSP page exist? Between this two JSP files how does it work
for main page template integration? I read the JAHIA TEMPLATE DEVELOPPER
GUIDE and page 6 said there is a Jahia Servlet calling JSP Templates, but
is it alwas the same, and what filename is it? Is Jahia webapp a Model2
(MVC) architecture ? What is the JAHIA servlet controller of MVC? What is
the JAHIA model of MVC?
The JSP that the Jahia servlet calls is resolved based on the PAGE
DEFINITION used. When you create a page, you select a page template
(also called a PAGE DEFINITION). When you call up the page, Jahia
remembers which template you have associated with and dispatches to the
corresponding template. The page definition table in the database is
called jahia_pages_def.
