Jahia 4.0.6 and 4.1 Final Releases are now available

The Jahia 4.0.6 and 4.1 Final Releases are now available for download !

The complete installation builds and two migration scripts are now available in the Jahia download area ( http://www.jahia.org/download ). 

The sixth service pack (Jahia 4.0.6) contains several bug fixes. The most significant ones include added support for LDAP dynamic groups, several fixes in the WebDAV File repository and HTML cache improvements. We strongly encourage all existing Jahia users to upgrade to this release as soon as possible as it corrects several critical bugs in the Jahia kernel. Please also note that a new Jahia taglib documentation with many code examples is now available. In addition, new material has been added to the Template Developer Guide. Please go to http://www.jahia.org/doc to download the latest versions.

Jahia 4.1 includes all the bug fixes from Jahia 4.0.6 + some new features and functional enhancements. Since they required major changes to the Jahia kernel and to the database model, a new release was preferred over packaging them directly with the 4.0.6 patch. The most important change is the migration to Apache Slide 2.2 for the file repository (instead of Slide 1.x as before). A validation framework (based on the Apache Struts Validator Framework) has also been added to allow you to implement validation tests in the Jahia engines (mandatory fields, field restricted to 20 characters, etc). A partial search refactoring (which will be finalized in Jahia 4.5) now indexes the MS Office and PDF files properties. Finally Jahia now includes some new Blogging templates and supports the Blogger API, the MetaWeblog API and the MovableType API, so you can choose any blog client application compatible with at least one of these three APIs to edit and post directly your weblogs on your Jahia server. In summary, you have the choice of just applying the bug fixes (Jahia 4.0.6) or extending your Jahia in order to support all the new features (Jahia 4.1). Jahia 4.0.6 is free of charge for all Jahia 4.0 users. No upgrade contract required.  Jahia 4.1 is only available for customers with a valid upgrade contract. If you need a new license key in order to upgrade to Jahia 4.1 (a new default unlimited 60 days trial key is provided with the upgrade script so that you can continue to perform tests or to use the system after the upgrade), please send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a copy of your previous Jahia 4.0 key. Please note that Jahia 4.1 is currently considered as the latest stable edition of the program.
