In Jahia 4.0 and 4.1, you do not have an option to extract one virtual site and to reimport it on the same server (as the pid are unique per server, you will have conflicts and there is no tools for the moment to check and modify all the pids). So if you really need to divide your site in two, the most simple way would be to duplicate your whole server and then lauch two distcint Jahia instances on your server. Then just delete the unneeded pages on each "jahia instance".

BTW: In Jahia 4.5, there will be an XML import/export utility which will let you export part or whole of a web site to another Jahia server or to another virtual site. But this will come in the next release only...

Stéphane

Hi,

I am using Jahia 4.0.5 with an Oracle database. I have developed a site and now, I need to split it in two different sites.

I would like to know if I can duplicate my site and delete from each one of both, the pages I don't need, and, at the end, keep in each site only the information that is necessary for it.

Does anyone know how could I make this? Is it possible to find an easier solution?

Thank you in advance for your helping and sorry for my english.

Alex.
