Hello,

I tried both "Anonymous Logon" solutions proposed below, and the second one
(with the trusted zone) works for me (not the other one, which is strange, I
think...)

The other solution posted earlier (to disable write access to the webdav) is
unfortunately not feasable for me, as I need to have write access to the
webdav.

Thanks again!
Juliette

Subject: Re: Strange behaviour when opening .xls or .doc files by Webdav URL
in IE

Hi,

Yes, this is a default security feature of IE (this should work fine with
Firefox). If you enable anonymous login on internet sites (Internet Options
> Security Folder > Internet Icon > Custom Level > at the bottom, you have
User Authentification - Logon - Anonymous Logon > Please enable this one).
Once done, this should then work.

Else you may also add these specific Jahia sites in the trusted zone and do
the same operations (in order to only allow anonymous login for these
specific sites).

Cheers
Stéphane
