Hi,
I have an "organisers" container list on one page which contains three
bits of content:
An image (file)
A name (smalltext)
A website (smalltext).
These details relates to event organisers...
On an event page I want the user to be able to populate an
"eventOrgansier" container list which lists several organisers from the
"organisers" container list. Due to storage and reuse I only want the
"eventOrganiser" containerList to store a reference to an organiser in
the central "organiser" container list.
For the declaraton of the "eventOrganiser" container list I can use a
Jahia Multivalue Field to populate a list of Organiser names from the
"organisers" containerList. This will allow the user to select
organisers for a particluar event from the "organisers" container list.
However names can change and as such this link wont hold for when I want
to retreive the image and website from the organisers list. I could also
store Jahia ids for entries in the "organisers" container list inside
the "eventOrganisers" container list. This is a more suitable option as
it allows the organisers name to change. However Jahia IDs aren't user
friendly...
Therefore my question is:
Is it possible to display a set of fields in a dropdown for a
containerList popup which display for example names, but then when the
user clicks ok actually store IDs in the containerList instead? A
standard declaration of:
<content:declareContainerList name="eventOrganisers" title="Event
Organisers">
<content:declareContainer>
<content:declareField name="organsier" title="Event Organiser"
value="jahia_multivalue[name1:name2:name3]name1"/>
</content:declareContainer>
</content:declareContainerList>
This obviously wont work as the name will be stored in the
eventOrganisers, but what I want is the name to be displayed to the user
but the actual id an a container in a containerlist else where in the
site to eb stored...
Any ideas?
