Container Pop-up menu incorrectly positioned

I'm using Jahia 5.0.1 and have implemented by template using CSS for all 
layout. I'm having issues with the container popup menu displaying next 
to the icon if the container is located in an element that uses absolute 
positioning. How can I get the pop-up window to display in the correct 
place?
