OK now, I've looked at the code in 2.04e and it is definitely very
different from 2.04 for determining filename issues. I haven't tried it
but it looks much more comprehensive and using external file modules. Is
there any clue when 2.04e becomes the next stable release?

I am not really at a stage where I would like to advocate a developer
release to my NT users so for now because nothing else seems broken. So I
may just change 2.04 manually to include the couple extra characters I want
and then move to the next stable release when it is stable.

Thanks,
