I recently released BackupPC, my first Open Source project, on
SourceForge. This is a relatively substantial perl-based package
for doing backup-to-disk of linux and WinXX PCs, laptops etc.

The project's home page is at http://backuppc.sourceforge.net.

Although BackupPC doesn't use TT (but a future version probably will),
my purpose for posting here is to:

  - publicly thank Andy for his nice gif buttons and snippets of web
source that I shamelessly plagiarized from www.template-toolkit.org.

  - get any preliminary feedback before I publicize further.

  - BackupPC is a bunch of perl scripts and modules comprising an
application. It is not a single module. Given that, is it
appropriate to mirror the releases on CPAN or somewhere similar?

  - I plan to send announcements to Samba's mail list and perhaps a
couple of other relevant lists. Are there other recommended places
I should post to (eg: comp.lang.perl.announce)?

Apologies for the non-TT email and thanks in advance for any suggestions
or feedback.

Craig
