[Templates] TT / simple templating comparison

I'm trying to sell TT to the lead developer on this message board
system I'm working on.
 
He's concerned about disk space usage and cpu /memory load compared to a
simpler, less
robust templating system.
 
I told him a streamlined TT would be around 500K and disk space would be
about the same as a little file-parsing template
system but I'm not sure about load comparison.
 
Any ideas?
