Dave,
what platform is this on? I have seen the same behaviour on MacOS X.
You should be able to run templates if that is the only error reported by
the tests for Template.

I'm too new to venture an opinion as to whether there should be a blank
line or not! FWIW I installed Text-Autoformat-1.12 successfully
immediately before running install A/AB/ABW/Template-Toolkit-2.09.tar.gz
I'll send more messages with the other problems once I've checked them
out. Appreciate any pointers in the meantime (is there a way to search
the mail archive for example?)
