Indeed, dates are often created in the view ("give me records older than
'yesterday'" etc...)

Typically, such a plugin is used in 60% of templates, I wish I could
avoid the hassle of passing one sub(or 2,3,...) to 'process' 60% of the time
I think it's what plugins are for.
