Yes there are some dlls ... But how do i get a non-xs-version? I learned from google that there is this fast thing from andy wardley but...

Ugh.  You might have "XS" stash, which requires C compilers and
individual architecture-and-pathname-specific builds.  That'd certainly
explain your error messages.

"I'm not root" means nothing.  You can build an entire Perl setup in
your home directory.
