In the "documenting the (should be) obvious" stakes, I propose that Template::Manual::Config should, in the VARIABLES/PRE_DEFINE section, show an example of setting a variable to be a subref. (And probably a hash or something too - basically anything other than 3 scalars...)
I spent much too long earlier trying to work out how to set up the equivalent of MACROs at Template->new() time, before suddenly realising that I just need to pass a subref in here... I read Template::Manual::Config through several times looking for something, but my eyes jumped passed this part several times as I was expecting it to be something more akin to BLOCKS or FILTERS.
