Well... we are starting to rebuild our public website for the university and we decided to go with Template::Toolkit. Needless to say I am quite pleased with that decision. :}
As such we are starting to write quite a few Template plugins that others might have use for. Not sure where exactly to post these but I thought this list would be a good place to start. Hence: http://wwwrogue.com/perl/Weather-20041214-0.01.tgz Lets you get and use the current conditions for your local NOAA reporting station. Also since NOAA has requested a grab time of 1 hour it uses Apache::Cache to hold that data until the next polling time. We are working on adding forecast data as well. Only prereqs are TT (of course), Apache::Cache, LWP::Simple and XML::Simple. This was written in a mod_perl2 with Apache::Template environment but should work in others as I am not using anything deep level in the Apache perl code. Have fun... and I would love comments on performance, coding style... you name it. Thanks for your time and more to come as we build them! -- Todd Freeman Ext 6103 .^. Don't fear the penguins!
