There have been many suggestions that I look into Maypole and Catalyst.
I have done *some* investigation into them, I've watched the videos and
everything ( Rails actually looked the easiest to me, but I want to
learn Perl before I move on to Ruby ) Another reason to roll my own is
that my host doesn't ( I don't think ) support Catalyst or Maypole.
Besides, would it be best to learn how to do it on my own, then once I
understand the concepts, move on to a framework that does all the work
for me? Not knowing what's under the hood is one reason I stayed away
from Visual Studio, and the dark side =)
Plus, I read somewhere that Maypole and Catalyst are good for your
general CRUD apps, but didn't scale laterally.
Please enlighten me.
