In general, creating a plugin from a module like this _is_ trivial. See
the docs for Template::Plugin::Procedural for details. As you'll see
from the example, it'll be about four lines of code.
As that other version you found doesn't seem to have been released yet,
I suggest you write the four lins of code and release it to CPAN.

p.s. Ivor, would you consider switching to a mail client that
understands threading? Your current one doesn't half screw up the
threads in discussions you get involved it. It doesn't seem to generate
'In-Reply-To' or 'References' headers.
