Hi, everyone I have just started to use Template Toolkit after using Text::Template for a while and I have found TT2 very nice and easy to use.
What I like the most is that the grammar is a little like ecmascript (ie, javascript/actionscript 2). In fact, I am changing all the templates of a new project with TT2 and as I am dealing with getting the info, writting queries, controlling the data... I would like to leave the template part to an other personn. This person kwows javascript/ecmascript and so it should be too hard but do you think it will make sense to create a grammar that will look like a lot more to javascript ? On the other side of the story, if i want to let the templating to a non-programmer that starts what could be nice is to have him write templates with a grammar very similar to javascript so that when this person gets use to it he/she will be able not only to write templates but also create some little javascript scripts and why not then go ahead for actionscript making the learning process very effective. Do you think a grammar close to ecmascript should be avoid ? PS : Is there a french version of the doc? _______________________________________________ templates mailing list [email protected] http://mail.template-toolkit.org/mailman/listinfo/templates
