Hello, everybody, how do you do.

After an hour of monkeying with ppd files and supositories, I managed to add
the openinteract and bugzilla supositories to my activestate preferences.
Activestate refused to acknowledge that it downloaded PPD's in the count
listing inside the supository listing window of my Windows XP version of
Activestate's package manager. Switching to an older version of Activestate
(5.8 instead of 5.1) solved the problem immediately, and I could use the
openinteract supository http://openinteract.sourceforge.net/ppmpackages/
without further trouble.

If the documentation of windows installs could be updated with a few words
about Activestate versions ("be sure your version of Activestate is compatible
with the available PPM's before you use this supository"), and the basic
function of Activestate supositories ("just add the Openinteract or Bugzilla
supositories to your PPM supository list") or something, that would be
relieving. My superficial analysis of the issues involved might mean that my
suggestions won't fit. I'd be glad to learn more about the issues involved with
PPM supositories and windows installs from anyone with an interest.

Naturally, to RTM is divine.
