This is on-topic in as far as the standard Template distribution
contains the plugin Template::Plugin::Pod to interface to the Pod::POM
module.

Andy Wardley has made me co-maintainer of Pod::POM and I have released
version 0.18 of the distribution.

Main changes are:

* applied BOOK's patch from RT to fix parsing of =begin/=end blocks
* applied JJ's patch from RT to fix parsing of non-empty paragraph
separator lines
* extended pom2 to search for an appropriate viewer if the viewer
specified is not one of the standard three (HTML, Text or Pod) so, for
example, you can say "pom2 docbook file" and it will find
Pod::POM::View::DocBook and use that as the viewer (if it is installed).

If anyone else has any patches, throw them my way and I will look at
them and consider applying them to the code. There is quite a bit to do
to make Pod::POM compliant with perlpodspec

Andy has set up a subversion repository:

    svn co svn://svn.tt2.org/perl/trunk/Pod-POM
    http://template-toolkit.org/svnweb/perl/browse/trunk/Pod-POM

This currently has the 0.17 release. I haven't committed my changes yet
(waiting for commit permission).

Andrew
