I'm new to template toolkit so this is probably just lack of understanding. I
found several references to textarea issues, but nothing that applied. I have
a template that contains a textarea field and when I attempt to retrieve the
contents of the field in my Perl program, I'm not getting anything.
>From the Template;
<DIV style='text-align: center;padding-top: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;'>
Comments
<textarea name='comments1' rows="2" cols="80">
[% comments1 FILTER html %]
</textarea>
</DIV>
>From the Perl Script;
$c = CGI->new();
$page{comments1} = $c->param('comments1');
At this point $page{comments1} is undef no matter what is in the comments1
field. What
