Hi,

Sometimes I wonder about the future of our beloved Template::Toolkit.

The current version (git repo Template2) is 2.26 and almost 3 years old.
While this version is robust, the documentation and web site contain
outdated information. For example, it mentions a Python implementation but
none of the links work.

>From the git repository it looks like 2.27 was released on 13th December
2016 but, if so, this release did not hit the CPAN.

We know that a rewrite, Template-TT3, is going on, but we also know it won't
arrive anytime soon, if at all. It seems to have stalled on February 8,
2012. Not a big deal as long as TT2 is functional and stable.

There's also a rewrite, Template-TT2, to prepare for the switch to
Template-TT3. However this rewrite stalled on February 10, 2012.

So as far as I can judge TT2 is still the way to go.

So, what happened to 2.27?

What happened to the python implementation?
