Asian American Dance Performances Call for Choreographers and Dancers
Asian American Dance Performances is accepting applications for choreographers. Presenting at two festivals, our theme will focus on sexuality and gender as interwoven aspects of racial identity. All dance styles are encouraged!
Format 1 will feature the work of established artists through 20-30 minute length works or excerpts. This performance will be held at SomArts Cultural Center in San Francisco and is tentatively scheduled Thursday-Sunday, May 26th-29th, 2005.
Format 2 provides an opportunity for both emerging and established choreographers to show repertory or work-in-progress for post- performance feedback. This performance will be held at Jon Sims Center for the Arts in San Francisco and is tentatively scheduled for Friday and Saturday, June 17th & 18th, 2005.
Guidelines * Choreographers must identify as Asian American. * Work relates to themes of sexuality/gender. * Deadline to apply is January 1st, 2005. * Send applications to:

Application Information Send your contact information and a short biography with the title, description, and length of the work(s) you would like to present. Specify which Format you will like to appear in: Format 1, Format 2, or both. Cued Videos are encouraged. Photographs will also be accepted.
