Jon Sims Center for the Arts Call for Proposals
AIRspace (Artist-in-Residence) is a program of the Jon Sims Center of the Arts which provides artist or artist groups with the opportunity to develop new work. The residency is for five months and includes 8 hours of free studio space per week and two works-in-progress shows with a final show at the end of the residency. This residency provides a laboratory for queer indentified artist and/or artist groups exploring same-sex and gender issues in their work. We accept proposals from artist working in any performance medium: dance, theater, music, spoken word, multimedia, or interdisciplinary forms. Come work in an enviroment that supports your artistic curiosity and imagination without censure. Residencies for 2005-2006 August- December (application deadline June 5, 2005) and January-May (application deadline November 5, 2005).
