SF Sketch Comedy Group call for writers and writer/performers
We're a new sketch comedy group looking for writers and writer/
performers to join our team. Performers should have some stage
experience, writers should be prepared to cough up a writing sample.
Our influences include: Monty Python's Flying Circus, Mr. Show, Kids
in the Hall, SCTV, SNL, Upright Citizens Brigade, the State, League
of Gentlemen, and many more.
We dabble in satire, absurdism, sarcasm, and while we're not a
kitschy "shock" group, our writing is not always for the easily
offended.
The plan is to perform on stage in SF and around the Bay Area, with
some videotaped segments, if we can swing it. Once we're at the top
of our game, we'd like to start taking the show to comedy and
performance festivals around the country.
Rehearsals and writing meetings will be in San Francisco.
