----/ The Tentacle List /----------------------------------------------- React[ivat]ion coming to San Francisco
Greetings, folks... I have recently begun a project based in Toronto that involves using works of public art - specifically sculpture - as percussion instruments. it was originally my thesis project in art school in 2001, but i have decided to revisit it in an effort to build some momentum and expand the project. after just a few gatherings this year i am very pleased with the results. audio recordings and video of the project so far can be found at www.myspace.com/reactivation blog at http://reactivation.blogspot.com in August i will find myself in San Francisco for about a week (21st-28th). i have done some research and found that there are numerous interesting sculptures in the greater SF area that should yield some interesting acoustic results. this is an open call for anyone willing to participate, or give more tips on where to find more sculptures in and around the city. please feel free to email me, and please do visit the sites for more information. cheers, joe byer ----/ Contact Info /---------------------------------------------------- joe byer [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.myspace.com/reactivation ----/ The Tentacle List Admin /----------------------------------------- The Tentacle List, a tentacle of Laughing Squid http://laughingsquid.org/tentacle/ subscribe, unsubscribe, change your email address or change your subscription options: http://lists.laughingsquid.org/mailman/listinfo/tentaclelist/ Frequently Asked Questions & Submission Guidlines The Tentacle List FAQ: http://laughingsquid.org/tentacle/faq.html Online list archives (you need to be subscribed to access): http://lists.laughingsquid.org/mailman/private/tentaclelist/ ----/ Laughing Squid /-------------------------------------------------- Laughing Squid http://laughingsquid.com art, culture and technology from San Francisco and beyond Laughing Squid Web Hosting http://laughingsquid.net friendly, dependable and secure web hosting services for artists, individuals, bloggers, non-profits and small organizations The Squid List is licensed under a Creative Commons License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/
