Richard,
I can confirm three things for you, yes there is a native 64-bit build of TeraScript 7 for Windows, yes it uses the 64-bit ODBC settings, and yes, it does still run COM components. However, if you are running the 64-bit build then your Application Pools must run under 64-bit and if you are using 32-bit COM components then see http://www.gfi.com/blog/32bit-object-64bit-environment/ for information on how to setup dllhost as a surrogate. -=Andrew=- New Creation Consulting & Information Management Inc. ================================================= [email protected] | <http://www.ncol.com/> http://www.ncol.com From: Richard Bor [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, April 09, 2014 2:04 PM To: [email protected] Subject: TeraScript-Talk: Witango v5.5 Upgrade to TeraScript v7 We’re looking to upgrade Windows our platform from Witango v5.5 to TeraScript v7. Is there anything we need to take into consideration, like: · Does TeraScript v7 run natively in 64-bit and can it use 64 bit ODBCs, or does it still use the 32-bit equivalents? · Is the Witango v5.5 code compatible with TeraScript v7, or do we need to upgrade to v6 first before going to v7? · Does TeraScript v7 still support COM components?
