Anyone having an issue getting the JVM to load on Windows 2008 R2 or newer may have to install this package from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13523 Note that this link points to the 64-bit package, and a 32-bit package is available for those OSes. The symptom is that once Java 7 is installed and the path in the server.ini is known to be correct, the JVM still doesn’t load. This may affect other versions of Windows. We’ve done no testing with Java 8. We currently have TeraScript 7.07 Advanced Server installed and licensed on a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 64-bit server. Upon start of the TeraScript 7 service, one error and one warning show in the event viewer. The error is "[1604] Java Virtual Machine: JVM specified by JAVAVIRTUALMACHINE in server.ini file did not load: Unable To Load any JVM shared library. The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file". The subsequent warning is "[1604] JAVABEAN Interface: Cannot initialize the plug-in The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file" and I assume is related to the error message. TeraScript is installed to C:\Program Files\Tronics Software\. The website documentation indicates that JRE 7u25 is the preferred version, and I have tried installing both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions, and changing the JAVAVIRTUALMACHINE in the server.ini to point to the jvm.dll within each of these, to no effect. What is needed to get rid of this error/warning and to enable the java integration for TeraScript? This is our first install of any version and we are using the newest product version Thank you for any help Stephen Breen CDI Services, Inc. _____ To unsubscribe from this list, please send an email to [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> with "unsubscribe terascript-talk" in the body. ---------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, please send an email to [email protected] with "unsubscribe terascript-talk" in the body.
