That file is the COM handler. The filename stands for:

W = Windows

S = Server

H = Handler

CM = COM

501 = version 5.0.1

The 20/12/2006 date was the last official 5.5 release, numbered 5.5.020.

The 4/4/2007 date was the release of 5.5.025, which is a version of 5.5 which
can run TAFs saved from the new 6.0 studio. This was released in conjunction
with the studio 6.0 beta.

Subject: TeraScript-Talk: wshcm501 binary file

Hi,

i would like to know the use of "wshcm501.dll" file which is there in witango
installed folder.

We have three app servers and all the three servers has witango 5.5 installed
but there is a mismatch in file (wshcm501.dll) size and creation date in the
following files.

1. w3xpr101.dll - (4/4/2007 and 20/12/2006)

2. w3xtk101.dll - (4/4/2007 and 20/12/2006)

3. witango.exe - (4/4/2007 and 20/12/2006)

4. wshbn501.dll - (4/4/2007 and 20/12/2006)

Any idea, why this mismatch?
