This behavior was changed in 6.2.1.

Here is the pertinent change log:

Added server key (leading 12 digits) to the user reference portion of the
output of @USERREFERENCEARGUMENT so that this tag will work with load balanced
servers. Note that the value of the server key is derived from the
configuration variables LISTENERADDRESS and LISTENERPORT, therefore these
variables must be set for this function to work.

Subject: TeraScript-Talk: UserReferenceArgument Question

We’re having some trouble with users who seem to be blocking session cookies –
we include <@userreferenceargument> in all the links within our web pages, but
it doesn’t seem to help.

We’re running 8 instances of TeraScript – and I used to remember that the
values displayed became longer in the URL if there were multiple instances.

Our userreference argument becomes something like this:
_UserReference=489FC44016E128C057117874

And the session cookie we would be storing looks like this:
7F00000146FC489FC44016E128C057117874

I thought that the <@userreferenceargument> used to return the same, longer
reference string – and that part of that string referenced which terascript
instance I was connected to.

Is my memory just faulty, or is there something I’ve missed in the setup?
