I have a field where students make entries.

Sometimes they type the word “can’t” or don’t.

When inserting into mysql it throws up with the apostrophe.

Sometimes they want to type a sentence like { he “like” did this }

It throws up again.

I tried doing the insert like this: <@ARG entry encoding=SQL> and that at least
did the insert into MySQL without throwing up.

But when I retrieve the data, of course the extra quotes show up in the list of
entries.

I went back to using <@omit> and just stripped out the quotes. But I think the
students would like to see quotes and apostrophes when they put them in.

They want  WYSIWYG

How do I go about doing this correctly? ]

Thank you.

Mark
