With nearly 6 years of development now spent on version 8, we're looking at how best to schedule version 7's end-of-life. To help us understand our customers' expectations, I'd like to ask a couple questions. Please reply to [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> rather than to this list, if you'd like your answers to be confidential. Additional comments are welcome. 1) How far into the future do you see your use of version 7? Please provide a year, e.g. "at least through 2020" or "not beyond 2022" 2) Would you purchase a 7.5 release that provided extended support, notably for installation on newer OSes, security (e.g. TLS 1.3), and bug fixes?
