PSARC 2008/777 introduces an optional "mode" extension for the cpupm keyword,
and may be found here:

PAD needs to be changed to conform to the new behavior.

...where "behavior" is one of: enable, disable, event-mode, poll-mode
To:
cpupm behavior [mode]
...where "behavior" is one of: enable, disable
...and "mode" is optional, and one of event-mode, poll-mode
