actually most of the OCR engines will work with any type of image..if this
also works then it will be a great advantage..:-)
In my opinion converting the image document into tif or bmp format and OCR
it and again convert that image into pdf for viewing in browser is not
suggestible..If the developers of this product works in this way it will be
more productive.

One more suggestion from my side ....if that engine requires any blank page
removal it will be a great helpful...
