Hi all, I'm trying to understand the tesseract options files (in tessconfig and configs directories) so that I can change the OCR engine defaults. I'm hoping that could lead to improved recognition on the documents I'm working on without hacking the source code.
I couldn't find a list of options in the forum (if there is one, please tell me), so I made a list of available options directly from the source files in tesseract 2.03, and I've added some of my own explanations (which are probably not entirely correct :). I've uploaded the explanation to the files area, it's called TESSERACT.OPTIONS.txt, in case it helps anybody. If you know something about options, or have used some of them before, please consider adding comments or corrections to the file.
