Hi, I have never tried installing anything so esoteric. Tesseract does not open after I downloaded it. I tried to install gzip in hopes that it would open the tesseract. I got the gzip icon, but don't know what to do next. I read somewhere else that I need something else from Windows.
I have a Japanese computer (uses the Japanese language and seems to have some quirks with some programs) loaded with XP. If this is not going to work because the computer has a Japanese system, what are my other reliable alternatives for OCR?
