Hi. I tried to create sample .tif files using paint. But whenever i try to run tesseract it throws up an error
"Tesseract Open Source OCR Engine read_tif_image:Error:Illegal image format:Compression Tessedit:Error:Read of file failed:sam.tif Signal_exit 31 ABORT. LocCode: 3 AbortCode: 3" I am new to using this engine. Can anyone tell me why this error is occuring? Do i have to train tesseract for new fonts and new font sizes? If yes, how do i do this? I would like to know how to use this engine. I ve tried using tesseract2.0.exe. Downloaded an exe directly.
