Hi all, The version downloaded was not working because of my stupid mistake ...... when doing such thinks one should not be in a hurry! :/
My mistake was that I downloaded the wrong testdata file .... it should be this <http://tesseract-ocr.googlecode.com/files/tesseract-2.00.eng.tar.gz>file!!
