Jimmy, Congratulations!!! Works fine in windows platform i.e WinXP(which I am using).. Tested by running tesseract kan01.tif test -l gen Instead of output -generated encounter exe windows message. Then verified with api/tesseractmain.cpp and then made a change as follows: *bool is_tiff = false; //fileFormatIsTiff(fp); * After effected change as above - by running as "tesseract kan01.tif test -l gen logfile -successfully generated output as test.txt file. and never faced with any encounter.exe windows message. Next - tested with box file(without page number) of the old version - Successfully generated .tr file with tesseract.log without any encounter windows message displayed.. Again tested with box file (with page number) of the r-400 - successfully generated .tr file with tesseract log without any encounter windows message. I shall test by generating traineddata.
