It appears that Tesseract is only able to scan TIFF files (not well documented...). Is there a site with compiled Win binaries incorporating libtiff to support compressed TIFF files?
Alternatively, is there a command-line utility to convert compressed black and white TIFF files to uncompressed TIFF so they can be scanned with the existing Win binaries?
