Does anyone here use FreeOCR? I downloaded FreeOCR V3 a while ago and was happy with it. Then I saw that there was version 4.2, so I thought that would be even better, but Tesseract V3 that comes with it doesn't work as well as the version included with FreeOCR V3 (at least with the current PDFs that I'm trying to convert).
I downloaded and ran tesseract-ocr-setup-3.02.02.exe to see if it would fix the problem, but it only made the OCR button for both versions of FreeOCR stop working (I get an error every time). I uninstalled Tesseract 3.02.02, but it didn't help. I uninstalled both versions of FreeOCR, and reinstalled FreeOCR 4.2, but I still get an error when pressing the OCR button. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem and how I can get FreeOCR V3 back? I searched for it using Google, but all downloads for FreeOCR V3 lead to FreeOCR 4.2.
