You must remove the frame: Tesseract 3.02 returns no text at all here otherwise.
I did that on your image and tested it with Tesseract 3.02 - surprisingly, it return 40 3793, making a bad mistake on the '2' and returning '3' instead. Very surprising as your image is great and all digits have the same height. Can't imagine what caused Tesseract to go wrong. I then tested with Tesseract 3.02 in OEM_TESSERACT_CUBE_COMBINED mode and all digits are recognized correctly - however a spurious 'i' appears out of nowhere (returns 40 i2793) ...
