Hi all,

If I scan a page with 300 dpi black and white with one scanner, I have
noticed that the image is still saved with RGB color.

I wonder what is the best practice for improving OCR success.

There is a script called TEXTCLEANER done by Fred which is located at
www.fmwconcepts.com/imagemagick/textcleaner/index.php

Therefore, I wonder if one shall convert the image to grayscale and do some
enhancements to it that will improve success rates.

Ideally, I would like to run a batch command to treat all images within a
folder.

Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.
